I have one of these, the black one was a Sweetwater exclusive limited to 150 in the States. Just an excellent guitar all the way around.

In Western, they have Dave Grohl. In Europe, you have Noel Gallagher. In Asia, we have Ubukata Shinichi. He got famous for 2 things in Japan. The first was using Gibson 335 for punk rock in Japan in 1999 when most of them used rather Les paul instead of 335. He started with Cherry 335 and then black 335 and then 2 black 355(one is original and the other one is modified with Piezo pickup mounted) The second was his unique arpeggio skill. In many interviews, he says "I always wanted to add sound with my guitar in a band which has no keyboard session. So that was the start of my arpeggio playing." We call his unique arpeggio "UBUPEGGIO"("UBU"kata + ar"PEGGIO"). When Ellegarden paused in 2008, every members of Ellegarden made their own bands. At this time, Ubukata Shinichi made a band called "Nothing's Carved In Stone" and went on his career as a bandman. And he thought 'I want to do the things I've never done before'. So he made his signature guitar with Gibson via Gibson Japan. Kurita Takahashi from Gibson Japan helped Ubukata Shinichi at this time. Kurita was originally from Yamano musical instruments but he moved to Gibson Japan and he is the one who helped Tak Matsumoto make his Gibson Les Paul signature. When Kurita Takahashi from Gibson JP, chief editor of GUITAR MAGAZINE JP, Ubukata shinichi and his manager were having a meeting in a local pub, Ubukata was like 'Diamond hole matches better than F hole with my music.' And boom! Gibson custom shop Shinichi Ubukata ES-355 vintage ebony VOS limited 150(diamond shape sound hole, ebony color body, rosewood fretboard, MHS pickup, Bigsby, Varitone switch). Before the release of this guitar, he got 3 prototype guitars of his signature from Gibson and he is still using his signature 1/150 and proto#1 on stages and for the recording. You can find more story of this Gibson signature on Chris Buck's UA-cam channel. Fun story here: Dave Growl participated in the design of Gibson Shinichi Ubukata signature. And as a sign of a respect, Ubukata Shinichi gave the last one of his Gibson signature to Dave Growl. But... you can see that guitar was used as a.... um...... music video props in 'Shame Shame' music video. Yes... Dave Growl smashed a gift from Ubukata Shinichi. WHAT A SHAME SHAME (When Dave Grohl visited Japan, ELLEGARDEN was a support band of Foo Fhighters. And Ubukata got Dave's sign on the back of his white limited diamond hole 335(non artist signature).) Many East Asian fans wanted to buy his Gibson signature, but only 150 limited run... However! a few years later, Gibson Japan released his signature guitar for Epiphone version! Not 'Inspired by Gibson' Epiphone(old Epiphone headstock and old Epiphone scale length), but Gibson 57classic pickup, ebony fretboard, Bigsby, Varitoneswitch, only ebony color body. It was kinda pretty good guitar. So it was sold at a fast pace and now we can find only used ones, no more new product. Meanwhile, at this time, in the world, Epiphone released a new lineup "Inspired By Gibson" and also Emily woolfe signature. But this was not the end! A few more years later, Gibson Japan released Epiphone Shinichi Ubukata signature Ver.2!! And this time, this ver.2 signature got 'inspired by Gibson' specs including Kalamazoo headstock and Gibson scale length(24.75). Not only ebony color, also blue/cherry/green/white. So, this is that Epi ver.2 signature.

I agree with others here, in that this was a great video on how these Furch guitars are built. Where I live in the U.S., I've never come across a Furch guitar; however , I would love to try one. It seems that Furch has captured the true essence of guitar making, combined with top technology. Congrats. to this company! 😊👏🏻🥂.

Around 11:00 you seem to be implying that the 3-band EQ is only for channel 1 and the single tone dial is only for channel 2. You are wrong here - both the tone control and 3-band EQ apply to both channels.

I'm an older musician now. What I've noticed, is the feel and ability to set up for a light touch, is almost always related to the cost of the guitar. Smooth polished frets, straight necks that relieve evenly, sustain, tone, etc. I have a mim strat that feels great, when I play it for a day or two. As soon as I pick up my 96 lonestar, the mim seems like crap!
